In search of the endemic birds of the western ghats and in particular the Srilanka Frogmouth, SriLanka Bay Owl, Malabar Trogon, Oriental Scops Owl, Mottled Wood Owl, Malabar Barbet, Flame throated bulbul, Malabar flameback woodpecker, Indian Pitta and other rare and and not so rare birds.

This birding tour covers the best of Thattekad and is a comprehensive tour that will include the best of the birding sites, accommodation, transportation and services of an experienced naturalist. The details of the package and inclusions are as follows..

Day 1

·         Pickup from Cochin Airport/Railway station.

·         Check in @ Birds Murmur camp by 2:00pm.

·         After lunch Proceed for birding, in and around Thattekkad (2.30pm to 6.00pm).

·         Tea/coffee either from   the camp or on the way.

·         Proceed for night birding. (owls & nightjar) ).(6:30pm to 8;30pm)

·         Back to the camp for dinner.

Day 2

·         Proceed for birding from the camp @ 6:30 am with packed breakfast. (Duration around 4 hrs).

·         Back to the camp for lunch.

·         After lunch proceed for birding (2:30pm to 5:00pm) either hide or in and around Thattekkad.

·         Tea/coffee either from   the camp or on the way.

·         Proceed for night birding. (owls & nightjar).(6:30pm to 8;30pm)

·         Back to the camp for dinner.

 

Day 3

·         Proceed for birding @6:30am with packed breakfast. (Salim Ali bird sanctuary).

·         Wind up and check out from the camp @ 12:00 noon.
